Beginnings

I've decided that I'd like to give blogging a chance and have created this on a whim.

An introduction I suppose is mandatory so here goes; my name is Eoin Monaghan, I'm 16, I live in Co.Down  in Northern Ireland and would consider myself quite diverse in terms of hobbies and interests.

I'm just about to begin my second year of GCSE's at my school and am awaiting my Maths result as well as some modular results this coming Thursday, whilst I'm not too nervous currently, come tomorrow night I shall doubtless be yet another sleepless, helpless... nailless teenager. Still, c'est la vie and all that!

I am an avid sports fan with a penchant for soccer and Gaelic football (I play for local clubs in both, granted we have limited success but I'm in to have fun and enjoy it, not to win). Additionally, I enjoy playing tennis and cycling. On the flipside, I'm a keen reader and a voracious collector of books.

At school, as well as the compulsory subjects of RE, English Language, English Literature and Maths (now finito) I am studying Irish, French, Spanish, Geography and Double Award Science. Granted, they aren't the most diverse subjects but I didn't want to drop a language! Whilst A-Levels are still a year away I am 75% of the subjects I will pick: Maths, one of the English subjects, French and possibly Geography (although Politics is a contender.) I am also deliberating whether or not to take on Spanish outside of school because I think it's a great language.

I think that introduction should suffice. If by some miracle you manage to come across this blog, please, follow my Twitter account: @eoinmonaghan4

Goodbye!
